Anyone who has witnessed an authentic kuda kepang performance will be left with an unshakeable sense that there is more to kuda kepang than meets the eye. But what is it about the kuda kepang that is so captivating ? Hmmm .. perhaps it is the allure unknown.
Beyond and through the movement and music spurred by the sound of the whips wielded by the danyang and badal, as well as the presence of the masked creatures the dancers arrive at an elevated state, some expressing intense euphoria and others falling into trance. Kuda kepang practioners refer to this elevated state as mabuk.

It happened !
Hi. Assalamualaikum everyone. Hope you guys have a nice day today. Okey .. today i want share something interesting. Have you heard about kuda kepang possessed before ?
Yes, i heard about it a lot. And since am from johor and have been watched it before, it really happened !.
But it was not like people have been possessed by ghost, that screaming loudly. It just, he was like really passionate or into that dance. Like something was in their body that control his movement. Plus, his eyes stare really terrified.
There's story behind this incidents. What is the story about ? Haa, i will continue it in the next post. Wait and see yaa. Byeeee
Horse Equipment IN Kuda Kepang
The equipment needed to braid horse game is a musical instrument made up of 5 Ensemble.Instrument made of bamboo and rattan which can be obtained from the surrounding area.Dance sized rectangular and it is played by tilting and shaking the bamboo. For a small bamboo, when tapped will produce a loud noise, while large bamboo will resonate and produce sound from a combination of the two sounds will produce a beautiful sound and attractive.
Other appliance used is a drum. The drums are made of wood and leather Leban of cowhide.Cowhide obtained from cow skin remnants are sacrificed during Hari Raya Haji. The dried cow skin. While the binder made of rattan. Drums have a long diameter of about 3 feet. The drums hammered by a certain rhythm.
The tools used are the sprint. Whip made of bamboo and rope. Both are twisted together. Sprint function is to direct and control the game or horse dancer braid.
The most important gear is horses. It is made from cowhide. Shaped like a horse and painted red, white or gray.
Besides other appliance is 30 meters long rope. The rope used to make fences to prevent drunken dancers braid horse wandering shaman and easy to control. Other tools include a gong.Gong when hammered wheezes "goooong" and menyedapkan again the sound of music accompaniment.

Ridiculous Kuda Kepang
Yeahh ! What's going on today ? Everything okey ? Let's start it. Alright, today my topic is about ridiculous Kuda Kepang. Why ridiculous ? Let's see ..
There are one famous types of kuda kepang which is known as Kuda Kepang Mabuk. It was called Kuda Kepang Mabuk because it was connected with spirits in a possessive trance, It can be see clearly during the open ceremony which is one of the symbolic ritual in its own way.
It is also different between the groups who practice it. There is a group that practices the use of fire ..and some not use at all. The embers which are intended to be under the middle of the ring and. which will be sprinkled incense on the coals prepared just ready all the equipment with dancers. Then the equipment will full with smoky.
It includes a horseriding statue of a kid in the evening braid, rope accelerator, gongs, drums, gamelan,gong small, 30meter long rope used to make a fence for the purpose of avoiding dancers braid horse
out of the ring and so on.

Kuda Kepang's Unique Costume Hypnotize People
Hey You ! Assalamualaikum Everyone :) Ahha, today let's talk about Kuda Kepang's unique
costume. Like everyone knows costume is one of the most importance element in every culture.
Because that's how we differentiate ours and make it unique. Same goes to the art culture,and Kuda Kepang itself. Kuda Kepang's costume is made from ancient Javanese traditional clothes,which complete with tanjak and kain sampin. While the trousers for the dancers were sewed by using kain kempun which is batik jawa. Today's there are two types of headdresses (tengkolok) that is used by dancers which are tanjak melayu and tanjak jawa. This Headdress can be differentiated based on the ways it tie.

The Started of Kuda Kepang
Hi, hello everyone! Today I want to share to you guys about the history of Kuda Kepang.
Kuda Kepang is a famous dance in Johor which comes from Jawa, and have been brought into Johor
and Singapore in 1920-an. This dance was a heritage dance culture Java which influenced with
Islamic. And the most interesting part to me is, this dance storyline is about Prophet Muhammad and
his friends. And, this was introduced by preacher Islamic and they will deliver
their preaching before or after presentation. Kuda Kepang really liked by Johor population and this dance have become one of the Johor Culture.
The dance is accompanied by a traditional instruments which are gamelan, gong and angklung.
Besides, the most importance appliance that needed is horses, which is made from cow skin and
formed resembling horses and coloured red, white or gray only. This dance usually played by nine to fifteen people for each Kuda Kepang group and had a chief. It is common to performed during VIPs event, wedding ceremonies or major celebrations.
